I love to be creative and photography has been a perfect way of expressing myself.
I enjoy the interaction with people and love to capture the moments that happen before you holding them in that moment to treasure forever. I let things happen naturally using day light to compose my images and creating a piece of art.
I studied at Otago Art School in New Zealand for four Years and majored in Photography which is where I was taught to create art and explore all areas of your subject. I believe this has been the foundations that established my style today.
After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts I moved to Queenstown which lead me into tourism, conference, sports, wedding, portrait, and commercial photography working with Magic Memories for 2 years. I grew out of my roles within the company and started my own business which gave me the freedom to explore my own work and give the independence to develop as a photographer.
I moved my business to Sydney were I have enjoyed portrait photography, concentrating on pregnancy and babies and finding the precious beauty within new life. I completed a portrait course with Andrew Thomasson from Focus 10 were I expanded my skills and explored new ideas and techniques.
After 2 years in the Sydney my husband and I were ready to leave the busy city life behind and move back to Central Otago to settle down and start our family. The beauty of this area and the community spirit attracted us, everyday I am inspired to keep taking photos and look forward to continuing my business here.
I get great satisfaction out of expressing myself and using my creative ability to give my clients images that put a smile on their face or a tear in their eye. I have left my mark that is treasured and holds a history.
